Attracted to the nature, animals and ecology, he studied environmental studies and received an M.A. in the natural sources of environmental sciences. Getting support from his master Houshang Ziaei, during his B.A., he got into the field of wildlife. He has so far cooperated with several foreign and Iranian researching projects, published many articles on amphibians and reptiles and has registered numerous new records of different reptile species. Mohammad Tohidifar

My primary and secondary school was totally devoid of birds although in 2002, when I was a freshman student in university, I became fascinated with aves and their ecology. Since then, most of my quality time was dedicated to study of these creatures. This way was professionally paved when I got my MSc in environmental science (biodiversity and habitats) in 2009. Currently, I am acting as freelance consultant in biodiversity-linked projects and also I do conduct scientific study on ornithofauna of Iran in cooperating with other experts. These on-going researches are particularly focus on distribution, range extension patterns and population dynamic of different species from passerines to raptors. Furthermore, I routinely carry out several voluntary based activities on conservation-oriented issues. Due to my professional carrier, I was senior author or co-author of a number of scientific papers on birds and recently, I had the chance to be co-author of two major references about avifaun
